HyzerHub — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HyzerHub LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("HyzerHub," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the HyzerHub app, website, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

HyzerHub is a disc-golf community platform. HyzerHub LLC is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at support@hyzerhub.app.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Account information: email address, password, and basic profile details.
• Profile content: display name, profile photo, disc bag, and optional details you add (for example, a PDGA number if you choose to enter it).
• User content: posts, photos, videos, disc reviews, comments, and other content you submit.
• Community and activity data: clubs you join, leagues and events you participate in, challenges you complete, and reviews and coaching submissions you make.
• Communications: messages you send us (for example, support requests).
• Launch and waitlist signups: if you give us your email address to be notified about our launch or other updates (for example, through a form on our website), we collect that email address to send you those communications.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Usage data: features you use, actions you take, content you view, and interactions within the Service.
• Device and technical data: device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, IP address, and general location inferred from your IP.
• Location (only if you turn it on): if you grant location permission, we use your device's location to show you posts and courses near you and to tag the course you are playing. We access it only while you are actively using the app — never in the background, and never when the app is closed. Your device determines your position precisely, but before we store it we round it to roughly one kilometre. We keep that rounded position in a separate location record linked to your account, and we keep the city and state it corresponds to on your profile.

Who can see which part. The two are stored separately because they are not equally visible, and it is worth being precise about which is which. Your city and state are public: they are part of your profile, and anyone who can see your profile can see them — including people who are not signed in to HyzerHub. Your rounded coordinates are not public. They are kept in a record that only you can read; no other user can retrieve them. That restriction is enforced by our database itself rather than by a display setting, so it holds everywhere in the Service and not merely on the screens that happen to show a profile.

You control this, and off means off. Location sharing is a setting you can turn off at any time in Edit Profile, and you can revoke the permission entirely in your device settings. When you do either, we delete both your stored coordinates and the city and state on your profile — we do not merely stop updating them or hide them from other people. We also delete both when you sign out.

One exception, and it is not rounded. If you use "use my current location" while submitting a disc golf course to our catalog, those coordinates are stored at full precision as part of your course submission, because they describe the course rather than you. They are visible only to you and to our reviewers, and turning location sharing off does not remove them. Contact us at support@hyzerhub.app if you want a submission removed.

• Anti-fraud signals: to protect the HyzerPoints program from abuse, we collect and analyze device and payment-related signals (for example, device and payment "fingerprints") to detect fraudulent or duplicate accounts and referral fraud. We also use technical signals, including a hashed version of your IP address, to detect and prevent spam and abuse of public forms on our website (such as our launch-notification signup).
• Cookies and similar technologies: we and our providers use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings; some features may not work without them.

2.3 Information from third parties

• DG Republic purchase data. HyzerHub and Disc Golf Republic, LLC ("DG Republic," DGRepublic.com) are under common ownership. When you link a DG Republic account or use the same verified email, we may receive information about your DG Republic purchases (such as order events) through DG Republic's e-commerce platform (Wix) and link that purchase information to your HyzerHub account using your verified email address. We use this so that qualifying DG Republic purchases earn HyzerPoints, so that balances in DG Republic's legacy points program remain redeemable while that program is retired, and to keep gear inventory in sync so the rewards catalog shows accurate availability. If you do not want this linking, do not link the accounts or use the same verified email, or contact us to unlink.
• Payment processor. When you buy a Season Pass, our payment processor (currently Stripe) collects and processes your payment details directly. We do not store your full card number; we receive limited information such as a confirmation, the last digits, and subscription status.
• Third-party disc-golf data. The Service may display or link to third-party disc-golf data (for example, publicly available event, course, and player information, and tournament coverage). Your interactions with those third parties are governed by their own privacy policies (see Section 6).
• Location lookup service. To turn your location into a city and state, your device sends an approximate position — rounded to roughly one kilometre before it is sent, not your exact location — directly to Nominatim, a public geocoding service operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy). This request goes from your device to that service, not through our servers, so the OpenStreetMap Foundation receives both that approximate position and your device's IP address. It is an independent third party, not a vendor processing data on our behalf, and we do not control what it does with that request. This lookup happens only when location sharing is on. Separately, we use LocationIQ (https://locationiq.com/privacy) to geocode disc golf course addresses for our course catalog — that service is used for course data and never receives your device's location.

2.4 Children. The Service is for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us at support@hyzerhub.app.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account and profile;
• operate core features (feed, posts, reviews, clubs, leagues, events, challenges);
• show you nearby posts and courses, and let you tag the course you are playing, using the location you have chosen to share;
• run the HyzerPoints loyalty program — award, track, and let you redeem points, apply tiers and Season Pass access, and enforce caps and anti-fraud rules;
• process Season Pass subscriptions and related billing (through our payment processor);
• link DG Republic purchase data to your HyzerHub account so that qualifying purchases at DG Republic earn HyzerPoints, and so that any remaining balance in DG Republic's own legacy points program — which is being retired — can still be recognized and redeemed;
• keep gear inventory in sync between HyzerHub and DG Republic, so that the rewards catalog shows accurate availability for the items you can redeem;
• provide customer support and respond to you;
• send you launch notifications and other updates you have signed up to receive (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• protect the Service, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
• analyze and improve the Service; and
• comply with legal obligations.

Where required by law, we rely on legal bases such as performing our contract with you, your consent (for example, for certain cookies or marketing), our legitimate interests (such as security and improving the Service), and legal compliance.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:

• Other users: your profile and the content you post are visible to other users according to your settings and the nature of the feature (for example, public posts and reviews). This includes the city and state on your profile, which are public, as described in Section 2.2. It does not include the rounded coordinates we store for you — those are readable only by you, and we do not make them available to other users in any form.
• Service providers: we use vendors that process data on our behalf under contract — for example hosting and database infrastructure, our payment processor (Stripe), analytics, and communications providers. They may only use the data to provide services to us.
• Location lookup service: when location sharing is on, your device transmits an approximate position — rounded to roughly one kilometre — to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's Nominatim service to resolve your city and state, as described in Section 2.3. This is a transfer to an independent third party rather than to a vendor acting on our behalf.
• DG Republic: to fulfill rewards you redeem, we share the information needed to ship your reward (such as your name, shipping address, and order details). DG Republic uses that information to fulfill and support your order under its own policies.
• Legal and safety: we may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of HyzerHub, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Some sharing for analytics or advertising technologies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws even without money changing hands. See Section 8 for your choices.

5. Embedded YouTube content

The Service embeds tournament and disc-golf videos using YouTube's official embedded player. When you view an embedded video, YouTube (Google) may collect information about your interaction, and Google's use of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Your use of embedded videos is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). We configure video embedding to be privacy-conscious (for example, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where available), but we do not control YouTube's data practices.

6. Other third-party sources and links

The Service may display or link to third-party disc-golf data and platforms (for example, event, course, and player information, registration platforms, and streaming services). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. When you follow a link or interact with third-party content, that third party's privacy policy applies.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely. You can request deletion as described below.

8. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate information;
• delete your information;
• port a copy of certain information;
• opt out of certain uses, including any "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising, and of certain profiling; and
• be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@hyzerhub.app or use in-app controls where available. We will verify your request and respond as required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

State privacy laws (US). Residents of California and other states with privacy laws (including, for example, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and others) have the rights above. California residents may also request information about the categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose. We do not knowingly sell the personal information of anyone, and we do not sell the personal information of minors under 16.

EU/UK (if applicable). If you are in the EU or UK, you may have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the rights above and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For embedded content and cookies, we will present a consent mechanism where required.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your account by using a strong password and keeping your credentials confidential.

10. International users

We operate in the United States, and your information will be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
